You may have forgotten they even existed, but Loblaws is already closing another one of its ultra-discount No Name stores just over a year after they opened.

Loblaws originally launched the pilot project in September 2024, opening 3 locations in Ontario. The St. Catherines location closed earlier this year in July, while the second in LaSalle is slated to close on October 25. A third location in Brockville will remain open for now.
The pilot project was aimed to take advantage of the trend of shoppers looking for value after years of food inflation, something Loblaws famously has a part in — see the popular subreddit r/LoblawsIsOutOfControl and the nation-wide bread price-fixing scandal.
According to Loblaws, the LaSalle store had a strong initial response, but was unable to maintain the customer base to stay open. A new No Fills store will be opening near its location on October 30.
