Canadians can now claim their share of the massive $500 million bread price-fixing settlement!

What is this Settlement For?
In 2018, the Competition Bureau of Canada alleged in court documents that 7 Canadian bread companies had been victimizing Canadians over a 14 or 16-year period by inflating the price of packaged bread by at least $1.50.
The current $500 million settlement was made as part of a class-action suit on behalf of Canadians against Loblaws and George Weston Limited — $404 million will be directly paid by Loblaw/Weston and $96 stem from the gift card program Loblaws offered customers in 2018. There are still ongoing lawsuits against Canada Bread, Sobeys, Metro, Walmart Canada and Giant Tiger.
How Do I File a Claim?
If you purchased packaged bread any time between January 1, 2001 and December 31, 2021 you can submit a claim for compensation, no proof of purchase required.
